Smart meter rollouts in Queensland have begun. AGL is sending out letters offering you the “opportunity” to upgrade your meter. They do not mention that the upgrade will have a radiofrequency transmitter which emits in the microwave range!
World-wide, including more locally in Victoria, these meters have caused sickness, increased bills, house fires and appliance damage.
Come along to this information session and become informed.

Hi,
Do you have any ‘No Smart Meter” adhesive signs I can purchase from you to stick to my Meter box?
Kind regards
Robyn
Hi Robyn, you could try printing out the sign (listed on right side of this webpage) and laminating or taping to your meter box. Not sure if there are adhesive signs.
Sadly, Victoria also has 3G ‘smart’ meters, and not only mesh smart meters. Look at the post on this site https://stopsmartmeters.com.au/2015/08/03/technical-study-reveals-magnitude-of-victorian-smart-meter-transmissions/
“Average 3G transmissions ranged from 252 through to 176,201 transmissions per hour” (!!!).
Your information seems to be incorrect.
1) AGL has been installing smart meters in QLD for over a year.
2) they are not like the meters in VIC. These meters have a mobile phone to collect the data and are not like the meters in Vic which use mesh radio to communicate to the meters.
Who cares?! They still cause harm and will continue to cause harm as long as the meters are active. These points are just superficial nitpicking.
Also bear in mind that if the 3G smart meters installed in Qld etc are like the 3G meters installed in Vic, then their output power is 1.6 Watts (!!!). This compares to an output power of 1 Watt for the mesh smart meters installed in Vic.
