Mobile/cell phone sellers (vendors) in Berkely, California, will soon be required to provide a health warning with mobile phones. The warning could come in the form of either a handout with the phone, or a notice in the store. The notice will state:
“To assure safety, the Federal Government requires that cell phones meet radio frequency (RF) exposure guidelines. If you carry or use your phone in a pants or shirt pocket or tucked into a bra when the phone is ON and connected to a wireless network, you may exceed the federal guidelines for exposure to RF radiation. Refer to the instructions in your phone or user manual for information about how to use your phone safely.”
In a controversial move, the judge hearing the case has required that the sentence, “Children are more exposed to cell phone radio-frequency radiation than adults” be deleted from the warning because the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has not acknowledged that children’s cell phone radiation exposure is greater than adults’ exposure.
While such a move fails to alert parents to the extra dangers of allowing children to use mobile phones and other similar wireless devices, it does at least warn all mobile phone users that their health is in danger from mobile phones.
The telecommunications industry is not responsible for the warnings or precautions. This is the job and responsibility of ARPANSA, ACMA and The Victorian Department of Health. If these three did the job that they are supposed to do, then the telecommunication companies would have nothing to hide behind and would have to issue warnings or risk lawsuits in the future.
Well, a certain phone company recently gave health warnings via text re the radiation from my mobile phone, a Nokia 3G (I view “smart” phones the same as smart meters – trojan horse technology!)
Should have been providing the warning 10+ years ago but nevermind.
Better late than never.
Wondering what kind of warning should be given out with the newish Wi-Fi hotspot dongles for your car?
I’d say probably something along the lines of “Warning: Most likely capable of frying the whole family whilst on holidays, without any of them really knowing, or realizing.”
Absolute madness…..God Help Us all.

I love how the article says “The magic of lower frequencies is that they deliver better penetration through buildings, so 4GX delivers more reliable service in car parks and concrete canyons than the 1800MHz network we’re used to.”
Very reassuring. I feel a lot safer now.
I wonder what it’s doing then to the inhabitants within the vehicle travelling along at 100km per hour……especially the “precious little darlings” in the back seats, who never had a say in all this.
Their parents should be locked up.
