Agree with the previous comment – The electromagnetic spectrum includes: radio waves, microwave, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet light, X-rays, and gamma rays.
30 years ago we were thought at university that house wiring – given all the metallic items in the house – is basically an Electromagnet, and so creates EMR.
I know for a fact that EMR from a TV tower was deemed responsible (via a class action) for some 78% of miscarriages in women, while I worked there in the 90’s. This was conveniently kept out of the media(?).
Knowing all this, I resisted getting a mobile phone for years, but in the end, if I’m ‘swimming’ in the EMR pollution of other users, is the inconvenience worth it(?). And these are just couple of sources that have been around for quite a while.
In May 2011, the WHO’s International Agency for Research published a review of the evidence on health risks of electromagnetic fields (EMFs). My concern is the levels deemed ‘safe’ are debatable.
Sadly, smart meters are yet another way of contributing to this airways-pollution we’ve created and, we’re generally in the close vicinity of the EMR of a Smart meter.
What are the alternatives?
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” [Richard Buckminster ‘Bucky’ Fuller (July 12, 1895 – July 1, 1983), architect, author, philosopher, futurist, inventor, visionary]
the whole issue about smart meters in our homes are just the tip of the ice berg , fluorescent globes are just as bad to health, then we have cordless phones stationed all over the house causing emissions to crisscross the home and we can go on and on with things like hair dryers 600 hertz pointed directly to head just to give one example thank you M Bellamy
