Please follow this link and read the instructions very carefully. It is important that you follow all steps, especially make sure that you lock your meter and make a little window so it can be read, or have someone at home who can allow for the reading of the meter.

    I believe we must act urgently. The Bailleu government for whatever reason want s them installed and advice from DPI is that it will happen. Not likely on my place. Advised of potential power disconnection. Inconveneient but not impossible to do without. Alternative sources. Was a famer and built my farm without electricity. Older now but can still exist without it. Bailleu government appears quite happy to allow bullying of people to enable these busniesses to have their way.
    I suspect the start will be with the most vulnerable in our society, (mostly is), the sick, the frail, elederly, disabled and low income earners. They cannot afford the cost of litigation unless it is class Action. Now is the time for class Action. VCAT, instead of being a user friendly court has increased its cost so that it become difficult for the battler to use it.
    Anyway, legally it is a tribunal, not a court and where it is used as a court it appears to be used as a Star Chamber Court, which was outlawed 1641

    Everybody remember this…..

    1. See your lawyer as I did. Ask him or her politely for a free consultation of under 30 minutes, I got this consultation of just under 30 minutes for free. Your could ask for the same.

    2. Lock your Electric Meter Box “PRONTO” and with an Industrial Padlock.

    3. Next get up your Legal Commonwealth of Australia Anti Trespass Signs, as per this site shows. Put one laminated sign on the Electric Meter Box and the other on the front fence or gate. Firmly attach these signs with strong tape or what you find best..

    4. Write a polite and forceful letter to the C.E.O of the Electric Power Company for your area stating firmly that your refuse to allow a Type 2B Carcinogen Causing Microwave so-called Smart Meter on your property.

    5. State the following. ” If I find that a Microwave Smart Meter has been forced on my property in my absence and against my Will and Better Judgement I will join the common class action to SUE.”

    6. If these Cruel and stupid people harass you by phoning you, just say politely the following………
    “All communication with me must be by written communication which I will be taking to my Lawyer, this has worked very well for me.

    6. Make sure all letters you send are sent by Registered Mail and note the Registration Slip’s Number on all correspondence you send and on your Copies you need for your lawyer in case you have to go to Court. Keep all letters from the Electric Power Company you receive and the Envelopes as well, for Court Appearance.

    Thanks for this information. It should put a lot of people’s mind at rest.
    A lot of recent Comments indicate that many people were not sure what to do with all the threats being bandied around by Power Companies. Follow the information given to us by SSMA and try and relax a little (I have). No Smart Meter for me end of story………….Cheers Pam 🙂

      Hi Pam,

      Were you successful in having the smart meter stopped? The letter we received today says a meter will be installed between 7/10/13 and 25/10/2013. The letter is already 3 days outdated! Feeling frantic.

    I received another notification in the mail today that Jemena intends to instal a smart meter at my home in Sunbury between 4/2/13 & 15/2/13

      Don and Sharon – Just do as SSMA advises us. and get your BOX LOCKED ASAP AND GET YOUR SIGNS UP especially the NO TRESSPASS SIGN THE ON E WITH THE $173,OOO.OO FINE. Tell them to POQ if they turn up and refer them to the signs you have displayed. You do not have to have a DUMB SMART METER INSTALLED. TAKE A PHOTO OF THE SIGNS YOU HAVE DISPLAYED and if possible have a cut-out with a perspex backing so that your annalugue meter can be easily read. Good Luck and let us all know how you get on. It is a waste of time phoning them cause all they go on about is you have to have a smart meter blah blah blah. If you write to them – send it registered mail and pay extra for advice to be sent to you that your letter has been received. Don’t hold your breath waiting for a reply. My Solicitor is still waiting and he wrote to them before Xmas to get me put on the refusal list………….Good Luck Pam 🙂

      Just make sure your meter box is securely locked so they can’t get in.
